Join this leading Private Equity House’s China investments legal team and be involved in cutting edge investments in China and Hong Kong. An experienced M&A/Private Equity lawyer with a real estate sector focus is sought for this household name.
On offer is an exciting new opportunity to embrace a hybrid legal/investments role covering real estate-related corporate acquisitions and investments as well as joint ventures covering mainly China and Hong Kong, and occasionally the wider Asia-Pacific region.
To qualify, you should be Hong Kong or PRC admitted and have at least 5 years' pqe gained in the corporate M&A team of a leading international law firm or an M&A/investments team of a leading financial institution. Candidates should have a strong track record of PE investments and joint venture transactions, in each case with an emphasis on the Real Estate sector in the PRC. Ideally you will have lived in China or are a native of the Mainland with an in-depth experience of the working and business culture. In addition, candidates should have work experience/education outside the PRC. As a result, fluency in written Putonghua and English are essential for this role.
Candidates should have first class legal technical skills, have the ability to initiate and lead transactions through to completion and also have strong finance and investments related skills. The role would suit someone who may have had lead advisory or other PE investment related experience prior to, or during, their legal experience. Strong communication and inter-personal skills are a must to thrive in this dynamic and challenging (yet rewarding) environment.
