Job Description
This GEM listed company is experiencing phenomenal growth and a new opportunity has arisen for an experienced lawyer with listings rules experience to advise the company on a wide variety of listings, corporate, commercial and corporate governance related matters.
Reporting to the head of business, you would perform a genuine multi-function business role and be at the heart of the decision making process of the company. The role involves applying and advising management listings rules, corporate restructuring, leading on M&A deals (in mainland China), company secretarial matters, corporate and commercial work, corporate governance, as well as day to day and strategic business/commercial matters. Experience in investor relations would be highly advantageous but not mandatory.
Requirements:
• Admitted in Hong Kong with 4-6 years pqe working on a broad range of corporate M&A and Hong Kong listings rules compliance, either in-house or with a leading law firm.
• Candidates who are qualified in the PRC and with a separate chartered secretarial qualification and with experience of leading M&A and IPO deals in Hong Kong with a leading law firm would also be considered
• Fluent in spoken and written Putonghua and English, Cantonese a bonus
• Outstanding inter-personal and communication skills
• Ability to learn quickly and work in a fast, dynamic and young company
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Must be able to work independently.
An element of local (Hong Kong) travel would be required in this role, as would some initial travel only to southern China in order to familiarize yourself with the business. The successful candidate would also become named company secretary.
