Hong Kong-based legal recruiter appointed as the Hong Kong alumni ambassador for Nottingham Trent University (NTU).

Co-managing director, Chris Tang, of Hong Kong-based legal recruitment firm Star Anise, has been appointed as the Alumni Ambassador the Nottingham Trent University (NTU) alumni.  The appointment is with immediate effect, covering the Hong Kong chapter of the NTU and will be for a term of one year.

As a pre-requisite to his legal training and subsequent qualification as a solicitor of England & Wales, Chris graduated in the Legal Practice Course (LPC) at Nottingham Law School, part of the NTU. With his post-graduate year of living and studying in Nottingham, a major city in the Midlands region of England and home of the mythical story of Robin Hood, this appointment was an opportunity that was too good to miss.

On accepting the Ambassador role, Chris said, "It’s an honour and a privilege to represent the university and it gives me the chance to reacquaint with old friends and make new ones."

He further added, "As an Alumni Ambassador for the next year I aim to be a focal point to people in Hong Kong in promoting the university and creating a dynamic network to help people achieve those aims. The reach of NTU can be felt far beyond its own shores. If you plug into this network and actively participate you will connect to an incredibly powerful business network."

The purpose of the network is to promote an effective business and social networking forum and to encourage alumni  to “give back” in terms of mentoring, offering placements and employment, forming partnerships with NTU, and philanthropic activities.  The alumni network is spread across the globe and has proven to be an excellent platform for business leaders of today to network among their peers and help nurture and promote tomorrow's leaders.

Chris would be delighted to hear from NTU alumni who are living in or visiting Hong Kong. For those who wish to receive updates on the events that are planned for NTU in Hong Kong, please register or update your details on the NTU alumni website: www.ntualumni.org.uk/login.
