People need a helping hand from time to time. So if you know a friend who is looking for a job or looking to employ someone, then let us reward you for making a referral of that friend!

HOW IT WORKS:

Each month, we reward people who refer their friends or personal contacts to Star Anise, where such referral directly results in a placement by us (either helping to secure a job for the friend, or helping to fill a vacancy for that friend). The cash-equivalent value of such reward could be up to HK$7,000!

Of particular relevance where Star Anise can assist are job seekers or employers in the following areas:

  • Legal
  • Corporate governance
  • Executive management, or
  • Business support.

CHOICE OF REWARD

You have a choice of one of the following rewards:

  • you receive a cash-value coupon or gift at a retail store or spa of your choice.    
  • you nominate a charity to which we make cash donation (same value).

Please note:

  • Before making the referral of your friend, you must obtain their express consent to making the introduction.  
  • No cash will be transferred to the referrer under this program.
  • This program will not apply for roles where the term of employment lasts less than 6 months.   
  • For non-permanent or contract-based roles (ie lasting more than 6 months but expiring less than 12 months from start), the referral fee shall be apportioned to the number of whole months agreed to be served under the contract.
  • The salary of the candidate must be at least HK$10,000 per month.

AMOUNT OF REFERRAL REWARD

These rewards are indicative of the typical levels of cash-equivalent (HKD) rewards granted.

Administrative/Support roles:

Legal secretary, Administrative Officer, Marketing Officer, HR Officer: up to $1,500, and up to $2,500 for senior secretaries.

Assistant Manager: up to $2,500

Manager grade:  up to $4,000

Team Leader: up to $4,500

Senior manager (e.g. Head of HR/HRD): up to $5,000

Legal roles:

Paralegals/Legal Executives: up to $1,500, and up to $2,500 for senior level candidates

Associates/Registered Foreign Lawyers/In-house Counsel: up to $5,000

Senior Associates/Of Counsel/Senior In-house Counsel: up to $6,000

Partners/Head of Legal/GC: up to $8,000

Corporate governance roles

Officer/Administrative/Analyst roles or equivalent level: up to HK$1,500

Assistant Manager roles or equivalent: up to HK$2,500

Associate roles (qualified staff) and Manager level:  up to HK$4,000

Team Leader: up to $4,500

Senior Manager (e.g. Head of compliance, COO, CFO): up to HK$6,000

Delivery of reward:

We aim to deliver the reward or charitable donation within 30 days of a candidate’s completion of their probationary period of work.
