Seasoned lawyers launch new legal recruiting service

Leading legal recruitment expert Annie Tang and her brother Chris have teamed up to launch Star Anise, a boutique legal recruitment company in Hong Kong.   The siblings-turned-entrepreneurs are both experienced lawyers, with Annie recently having also worked for over 5 years as a senior recruitment manager in an international recruitment firm.  Chris was a director of a major UK corporate law firm acting on a wide range of mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, private equity investments and IPOs.   

Speaking of the launch, director Annie Tang said, “I am delighted to have joined forces with Chris.  We are unique from other recruiters because of our respective industry experiences, tied in with our family connection.”

The firm is based in Entertainment Building on Queen’s Road Central, specialising in matching candidates with law firms and in-house teams within financial institutions and companies from commerce and industry.    A new website, www.staranise.com.hk, has also been launched by the company.
