Hong Kong's premier in-house legal counsel conference, sponsored by Star Anise Legal Recruitment, celebrated with a record number of attendees at the prestigious Four Seasons. Following last year's acquisition of Legal Week Magazine by ALM, owner of the American Lawyer, over 330 senior level in-house lawyers attended the prestigious event, which was chaired by WeWork Asia's General Counsel, Wai Zee, and Melco Crown Entertainments Chief Legal Officer, Stephanie Cheung.

With a programme designed to provide a more international flavour, delegates received training on a diverse range of issues facing in-house counsels today, from the growing importance of a diversity and inclusion policy in companies, the rise of Asian regulators, and weathering legal challenges during changes in administration.

Speaking at the conference, Star Anise co-Managing Director, Annie Tang, said, "We are very pleased to continue our successful relationship with Corporate Counsel Forum, Star Anise has been a major supporter of this event since its inaugural launch in Hong Kong and it's wonderful to see so many familiar faces, as well as greet new delegates, some of whom have recently entered the in-house legal industry.  As former practicing lawyer, I appreciate how important such events are for legal counsel to not only keep abreast with common changes facing the industry but to also network with their peers."
